Wallace Stevens

Of all the modernist poets I studied in English major school, Wallace Stevens is the only one that truly got through to me.  There is a beauty in the difficulty of his writing that is balanced by his undying devotion to nature and all its splendor.  His "Thirteen ways of looking at a blackbird" is constantly on my mind, always triggering new perspectives on nature and new definitions on life.  Even though Hemingway used him as a (literal) punching bag, Stevens, to me, is the better writer...with bigger passion.

The Hunger Games

Oh, hell yes.  Finished this up on a gloomy Friday night. So worth losing sleep over.
